Brief History
Budhanilkantha Ashram School
Budhanilkantha Ashram School is located in a natural and serene environment near the famous Budhanilkantha Narayan Temple at the foothills of Shivapuri Hill in northern Kathmandu. The school has been in operation since 2047 B.S. It was established under the guidance and patronage of Brahmaleen Gurudev Swami Chandresh. Before the establishment of the school, meditation, yoga, and spiritual studies were conducted at a hermitage in Shivapuri. Following the educational philosophy and guidance of Gurudev, the school has been continuously providing quality education to this day.
Introduction
During the 2040s B.S., there was a lack of English-medium schools in the Budhanilkantha area. The few schools available at that time were beyond the reach of children from low and middle-income families. Recognizing this need and inspired by Gurudev’s love for education and social service, Budhanilkantha Ashram School was established.
The primary objective of the school is to implement the concept of “Trinity Education”, which combines Vedic Sanatan culture, values, and practical education while following the government curriculum. The school is operated under a Public Educational Trust and provides education from Nursery to Grade 10. In addition to the subjects prescribed by the Ministry of Education, Nepal Government, students are also taught Bhagavad Gita, Music, Dance, Sports, Computer Studies, Yoga, Literature, Fine Arts, Homa, Yagya, and Meditation.
Trinity Education
The fundamental principles of Trinity Education, propounded by Swami Chandresh, are:
- First Principle: Moral and Spiritual Education
- Second Principle: Skill-Based Practical Education
- Third Principle: Informative and Knowledge-Based Education
