Brief History
History of Shree Mahakal Janajagrit Secondary School
Shree Mahakal Janajagrit Secondary School is a renowned community educational institution established in 2028 B.S. through the active initiative and collective efforts of local education enthusiasts, social workers, parents, and intellectuals. The school was founded with the objective of providing accessible, affordable, and quality education to the children of the local community.
Prior to the establishment of the school, students from the area had to travel long distances to pursue their education. As a result, many children, particularly those from economically disadvantaged and underprivileged families, were deprived of educational opportunities. Recognizing this challenge, the local community came together with a shared vision of ensuring educational access for all children.
The establishment of the school became possible through community participation, voluntary labor contributions, and a growing awareness of the importance of education. In its early years, the school operated with limited resources, minimal physical infrastructure, and a small number of students. Despite these challenges, the institution steadily expanded its academic and physical facilities and successfully developed from a primary-level school into a full-fledged secondary school.
The school initially began with primary-level education. Over time, it was gradually upgraded and reached the secondary level between 2050 and 2054 B.S. The first batch of students appeared in the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examination in 2054 B.S., marking a significant milestone in the school’s history.
Continuing its journey of growth and development, the school introduced Grades 11 and 12 in 2066 B.S. in the faculties of Management, Education, and Humanities. Today, it remains the only community secondary school located in Ward No. 8 of Budhanilkantha Municipality. Through its consistent academic achievements and quality educational services, the school has established itself as one of the leading educational institutions in the area, often competing successfully with private schools in terms of academic performance.
Since its establishment, the school has prioritized discipline, moral education, quality teaching and learning, and the holistic development of students. Many graduates of the school have gone on to achieve success in various professions, businesses, public service sectors, and national institutions, bringing pride and recognition to the school and the community.
In response to changing educational needs and modern demands, the school has continuously improved its teaching methodologies, extracurricular activities, use of information technology, and physical infrastructure. It has embraced innovation while maintaining its commitment to academic excellence and student development.
